About HSK
What is HSK? & Why Take the HSK?
HSK(汉语水平考试) is the official Chinese Proficiency Test recognized by China’s Ministry of Education. The New Standard for Chinese Language Proficiency in International Chinese Education, issued in 2021, serves as China’s official framework for assessing Chinese-language ability.
It divides proficiency into three bands and nine levels, covering listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation.
The HSK(汉语水平考试 Chinese Proficiency Test) is widely required for studying and working in China.

- Pictophonetic Character Course ntroduces the most common type of Chinese characters—pictophonetic characters, which make up over 80% of all Chinese characters. AP Chinese
What is AP Chinese?
- AP Chinese Language and Culture(AP中文语言与文化课程) is an Advanced Placement course and exam offered by the College Board in the United States.
- It is designed for non-native Chinese learners and tests listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural understanding— equivalent to a college-level Chinese course in high school.
