Our Summer Camps

Since 2008, Capital Mandarin School holds yearly Summer Camp Programs in Beijing that take place from Jun to Aug.
Capital Chinese School is the first Chinese language institution in Beijing to organize summer camps for foreign students. By the summer of 2025, it will have trained over 10,000 participants, including more than 5,000 children, with students coming from 46 countries.
CHILDREN 6-12: Study Camp / Day Camp
TEENS 13-17: Study Camp / Day Camp / Full Camp
ADULTS 18+: Study Camp / Day Camp

CHINESE CLASS:

  • Group Study: 4–8 students
  • Morning Class: 9:30 AM – 12:20 PM (3 lessons)
  • Afternoon Class: 1:30 PM – 3:20 PM (2 lessons)
  • Each lesson lasts 50 minutes

LANGUAGE PRACTICE:

  • Real-life communication: with local people
  • Buy things in supermarkets, and order food in restaurants. Participate in community activities and visit local schools — all in Chinese.
  • These experiences help students gain confidence and use Chinese naturally.

ACTIVITIES:

  • Students can participate in Chinese calligraphy lessons, Chinese painting (国画), paper-cutting (剪纸), seal engraving (篆刻), and Chinese martial arts (武术) classes — experiencing the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.
  • They can also learn to make Chinese food, such as dumplings (饺子) ,noodle(面条) and mooncakes (月饼) while exploring the art of Chinese cooking. Join many more fun and creative cultural experiences that combine language learning with hands-on cultural immersion.

TRAVEL AND CULTURE:

  • Modern Experience
    Students can shop at the Hutongs, explore the Silk Street (秀水街), visit Joy City (大悦城), and experience the convenience of modern transportation, such as taking the Beijing Subway (地铁). They can also discover the innovation of unmanned supermarkets (无人超市) — enjoying modern Beijing life, local fashion, and the vibrant city atmosphere.
  • Historical Landmarks
    Students can visit the Forbidden City, climb the Great Wall, enjoy the view of the Summer Palace, and explore the Temple of Heaven (天坛) — discovering the charm of Beijing’s ancient history and traditional culture.

ACCOMMODATION:

  • Study Camp & Day Camp: Students can choose their own hotel or stay at one of the recommended hotels near the school. All options are within walking distance, ensuring convenience and flexibility for every participant.
  • Full Camp & Group Programs: Accommodation is included. Students stay at a hotel located just 50 meters from the school, offering a safe, comfortable, and convenient stay — perfect for a full study and cultural experience.
