2011 Christmas Party - Tickets are available now!

  • Christmas is not a public holiday in China. But among China's younger generation, Christmas has become more and more popular, and is celebrated more like a Valentine's Day or a get-together with friends without religious attachment. Be prepared for large crowds of people in public places.

In China, people work during Christmas, unless it falls on weekends. In Beijing, some foreign embassies and western companies usually have several days off to celebrate Christmas. Because Christmas is a busy time for business, shops, malls and restaurants are open and some may even prolong business hours.

Usually 4-star and 5-star international hotels and large western restaurants launch special Christmas Eve dinners or buffets, serving all kinds of Christmas food like turkey, ham and pie. Reservation in advance is essential.
